  2. Believe it or not, I don’t like zoos. With the exception of the KCC in GA, I only visit zoos that have elephants and that is because I want to check out their quality of life for myself. I agree with most of the elephant advocates that zoos are not doing enough for them. Felix and her calf and Tuffy are in a better place with the exception of the weather. They were in a brutal breeding farm in Arkansas and now they have to endure brutal winters in the NE and will have to stay indoors for weeks or months. This is a small zoo compared to most US Zoos, but they have a lot of room to grow. They have had financial problems for years, even before the recession hit, so their future is a big question mark.
